2020 Spring Exhibition > Brianna Brodsky

My work broadcasts a variety of mediums, from drawings to sculptures and clay work. I immerse myself into working with two main themes; the image of the human body and of nature. I create work with each theme separately as well as combining and depicting them as one cohesive image. The curves and natural way a body moves is astonishing and beautiful. Depicting what most would assume to be a “female” body, though I chose to stick to saying a human body, as gender and sex are limitless and do not need to be defined based on what society tells us it should be. Focusing on the beauty of life within itself, adding in nature elements further enhances the message that we are all beautiful.
I prefer to stay in similar color ranges when working within different mediums, as it helps me keep on theme. Black, white, and grey. Bright greens, turquoise, dark green, with slight hints of blues and the occasional use of reds, purples, and dark shades of blue.
