Ruby Do
As a visual artist, I've learned multiple practices: painting, ceramics, metals and printmaking. When I was young, I did a lot of painting and drawing but never felt like I wanted to continue it as a career. After trying and exploring different art forms, I found that Graphic Design is what I want to do. It's a combination of technical and visual skills where I'm able to experiment with different design styles and colors. I love studying and experimenting with colors, and through creating digital I can do that more efficiently. My favorite medium is watercolor so I try to apply that illustrative quality into my design works.
The series of work in this exhibition represents the direction of the style and content that I will be working with. Web design has also been grasping my interest and Copenhagen is a travel website that I'm currently working on. I explore the relationship between elements of typography, color theory, and hierarchy for the final product to be visually appealing and optimal.
