By reminiscing through my past, I began to realize and understand some of the accomplishments that I have made. From my humble beginnings of pursuing art, to achieving a B.S in Visual Arts, I wanted to think back on what I’ve done and use them as a driving force to pursue my passion in art. Not only that, but revisiting my admiration for video games and animation was able to reveal an underlying creative side that I did not know I had. With the hours of studying different mediums of art, such as Drawing, Photography, and Graphic Design, it has helped me understand what it takes to acquire what I want to achieve. In order to be content with myself, I’ll need to take advantage of my past and use it as a driving force to pave my future. With that, I want to show that regardless of whatever background you have come from, there is always the possibility and potential to grow as both an artist and a person.
Much of the work I’ve created revolves around different things, with my Graphic Design work revolving around a professional aesthetic, combining modern aspects with a colorful array of hues to appeal to several different demographics, Photography involving the use of leading lines and captivating perspectives to bring attention to the beauty of our environment, and my drawings utilizing the use of the figure, along with creating fantasy landscapes to portray my passions for both reality and the digital world. With my art, I want to persevere and continue creating works that I enjoy. A fascinating quote from David LaChappelle says “You just do what you love, and then a style happens later on”. As I continue creating new forms of art among different mediums, I can continue to use my experiences to enhance my future artworks.
