In this gallery, my paintings consist of the power and inner strength of women through water. As I painted these digitally based and acrylic paintings, I noticed a pattern of dominance of the women while I created in these underwater pieces. Women are similar to water, they can be calm and tranquil then but also pull into a surge of rapids that can pull through any obstacle they face. This can be seen metaphorically and literally through the works I created. The relationship between water and female liberation stemmed from underwater photography, elegant poses of dancers in still shots of ballet performers and even paint that swirled in my glass of water when I painted. My paintings have always gravitated toward the human anatomy, especially in the diversity in figure art of the female body. I have always delved into the beauty of the human figure, specifically female strength that I love to incorporate in my art. Both processes for digital and traditional painting were similar, just a difference in the way each of the artworks were composed. The gallery has six pieces in total, mostly created in the program Procreate and the others made on pre-stretched canvas with acrylic paint.
