Euphoria builds inside me every time I pick up a camera. I specialize in portraiture, landscape, and live-music photography. I strive to showcase striking whimsical photographs that bring a wondrous feeling. I aspire for my work to be zestful and eloquent, while also having an impressionistic view. My portraits have an elegant element that showcases small characteristics about the people I work with. Through landscape photography I try to capture the true beauty of mother nature and the amazing creations of the natural form. While shooting live-music, I am not just compelled to capture the artist at their prime onstage, but to capture the fans reactions to the music, which can be sentimentally serene. Getting the opportunity to photograph the band Blink 182 was an incredible experience. I was able to be behind the scenes and witness the relationship between artist and fans which was magical. This is when I knew this is the career path I want to take.
Stepping away from the digital universe, I find it exciting when working with film. The art of photography began with film, and the time and patience using film brings out the magic in film photography. Young adolescences are bringing back the nostalgia of using the likes of disposable cameras and polaroid's, and being a part of these generations of Millennials and GenZ inspires my work, and I believe using film is timeless. While photographing, whether digital or on film, I want the people I work with to understand one thing, to be comfortable expressing themselves as who they are. It is my main focus to ensure that whoever I work with knows they can trust me and I accept them for them.
